America is genuinely the land of the free, and the home of the brave, not merely because of our military with whom I spent the majority of my life, but a truth that applies to every person possessing any title that includes the term, “American.” The time I spent in the military was for the purpose of fighting for and upholding this truth because it is a worthy truth to uphold, “The Land of the Free, and The Home of the Brave!”
The strength of America rests not in the term “sameness,” but rather “singleness.” Sameness is all about a person, or a people; It cries the need for you to be like me, or for me to be like you and if you are not, “forget you!” May this never be in America! The beauty and power of America are the differences between us that serve to only make us stronger. It’s not about a “YOU” or about a “ME;” It's about “US” plain and simple.
Our differences are what makes America sharper by sharpening each other with wisdom and insights from equal, but different perspectives, like iron sharpening iron. What makes America strong is a singleness of purpose, and that purpose is being the best we can be by striving for the most stable, strongest, and sharpest America we can offer relative to all other Nation-State and Non-State entities on this globe. This is our National Interest, and this is what veterans fight for and some die for because it is worth the effort.
Referring back to the truth above, Americans are FREE to honor and strive for the principle of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, while also being BRAVE enough to allow others to do the same, not be the same. The challenge to all Americans is to get back to what makes us the best we can be, simply by being brave enough to work “WITH” each other Willingly, Intentionally, Thoughtfully, and Honestly. This is the America I live for; this is the America I’ll fight for; this is the America that makes us, US!
